I am trying to install and use the MacinTalk speech synthesis driver. For some
strange reason the applications that come with the driver abort or exit, when
I am trying to run them.  

Despite my attempts to run it from a seperate bootable disk etc., I haven't been
able to get it to work. The applications (like SpeechLab, ExceptionEdit,
TalkAlarm etc.) exit either with error code 1 (or 01 or -1) or an error
message is flagged saying 'An system error has occcured'.

The user assistants here are unable to help. I would appreciate any help
or suggestion in getting it to run.
