The selection service is a background process which services the keyboard and mouse interrupts for SunView. It normally gets started the first time you enter SunView and then runs continuously after that until the next reboot. If this message persists after the first entry. Then you have something wrong in you configuration. The SunView 1 Programmer's Guide provides a brief description of the selection service on page 279.
