For reading news I use vnews (from the 2.11 BNEWS distribution) and my global editor is MicroEMACS 3.9. Running Telco on a Geneve 9640 and use all of this to maintain this system from remote (including writing/compiling software, maintaining BBS userfiles, up/downloading files, etc...). So far, I have not found ANYTHING I couldn't do except run vi (small loss :-)) Don't know what to tell you. I found some problems with the vt100 emulation but Charles told me in D.C. last year that it was an admittedly incomplete emulator. > Chuck Neal (chuckn@eecs.cs.pdx.edu) > BS Computer Science/Mathematics > Recent honors graduate looking for a job. > Former treasurer of PUNN (Portland Users of Ninety Nine) > Chuck Neal (chuckn@eecs.cs.pdx.edu) > BS Computer Science/Mathematics > Recent honors graduate looking for a job.
