The sequence of TeX commands given below properly show the effect that I am trying to achieve; I cannot find a way to make them (or some effectively similar group) work within a headline of footline of Plain Tex. \noindent Left Side\hfill Right Side \par \hrule height 2.5pt \vskip 2pt \hrule height0.5pt If someone could explain to me how to generate a sequence of commands that will achieve the same effect in either LaTeX or Plain TeX (Plain is preferable), I will be most appreciative.
