I have tried several times to activate the lp system and cannot get anything to print out properly. The problem occurs as follos: I set up all the required stuff, activate the scheduler and enable the printer. I submit a print request and the printer begins to print the banner page. After about 10 lines the system says: interrupt from unknown device vec=2 panic: unknown interrupt ** safe to power off ** (etc) At first I thought this problem was related to the lp syste, but I also get it when I "cat > /dev/lp1". There are no other parallel ports in the box. All the documentation I find on interrupt vector 2 states that this is a general hardware fault. The parallel port works fine under DOS Any Ideas ? (email is fine) thanks, --- jeff PS, I have installed this release of SCO Xenix on many 386 systems and had no problems.
