We had MIT X11 rel 3 running on our Sun 386i's and xgif worked just fine. Now, with the installation of Open Windows 1.0.1, the colors are screwed up. It seems that a limited number of colors are available to xgif (as compiled under X11 rel 3), maybe something like 16 or 64 (?), but definitely not the full 256 available on the Sun. Any ideas on how I can get the rest of the colors back? As usual, if there is enough interest, I'll post a summary.
