*Which* file's machine/path/etc?  You surely don't expect to restrict
drag-&-drop to files!  (And what if more than one thing is being
dragged-and-dropped?  What if the machine doesn't have a path-and-mount
based filesystem?)

(As an aside, IMO the protocol should not involve itself with things as
"high-level" as drag-and-drop.  Mechanism not policy.)
