I requires a receiver that plugs in like a modem, and software. You must pay monthly for the level of service that you get. You can get anything from the Dow Jones Averages and NYSE quotes to exotic commodity, currency and bond quotes. The information is transmitted on the sideband of an FM station in 12 major markets (yes, you have to be near or in a major city). It's a pretty neat idea and the software is good. The subscription fees get a bit high. The receiver itself sells for somewhere in the 300-400 dollar range last time I checked. I've seen used receivers for sale. Instant quotes at a fixed monthly price. -rsr- ...
