Theoretically deep-cycle batteries are better. And they cost more. They are supposed to last longer & store more charge, as well. When we first tried them out at the Australian Quadriplegic Association, the costs seemed high, and the "gains" not seem worth the extra expense & trouble. Not sure what has happened in the last five years though.
