Someone asked if anyone watched the press conference on Thursday. I did,
I taped it, and I will try to do a complete transcript up to the point
where reporters started asking questions. If I am lucky, it might be done
for monday.
Note that allo is not doom and gloom. There are a number of platforms on
HST which are un-affected and will work 100% as planned, there are some
that are not so good...only about 40% useful. This is all spelled out in
detail. But note, all is not lost. The press conference while depressing
to watch, was overall very positive.
The reason why I have the tape up to the start of questions is that the
satellite went off line part way through the first reply. I hung around
for a bit, but it didn't come back. Maybe someone else can pick it up
from there.
