Could someone explain to me the difference between various versions of Fig
out there?  I have seen Fig, Fig-FS, Fig-ged, Fig-PS, XFig, etc.  
What are the current versions?  Where is the official source located?
I obtained a version 1.6 of Fig-ged, but I have problem compiling it 
on the SUN Sparc.

I would appreciate any info.
