I am a novice unix user who is trying to install c++ on a decstation
3100 under ultrix.

I tried gnu 1.36.1 but gcc failed installation tests.

I tried InterViews but I discovered I needed cfront 1.2.  (We have 2.0
on tape.)

I looked at the installation notes for cfront 2.0.  They did not mention
the decstation 3100 so I got scared.

If I want to get c++ going in a hurry, where should I put my energy:
(gnu 1.36.1, InterViews, cfront 1.2, cfront 2.0, other)?
