As the other fellow said, the data entry/windows is very basic. Locking is accomplished by either locking a block of records or the complete file. In the manual, codebase explains that it will automatically upgrade the lock to a file lock if it needs to (what ever that means?). I was generally displeased with this product. I have used far better dbms lib toolkits. Have you looked at Raima's db_FILE or db_VISTA products? They have an optional package with which you can read and write lotus and dBase files.
