I got a little bit excited today when I noticed an article in the April 1990 Electronics & Technology Today which mentions a "knock" sensor used in programmed automove ignition systems. The "knock" sensor is a piezo-electric acceleromet which translates vibrations into signals which are interpreted by some programmed system controlling the ignition timing. Seeemed to me that your project could be used for this type of thing. -d.b.
