Message-ID: <820@ucsvc.ucs.unimelb.edu.au> Date: 6 Jul 90 07:21:31 GMT Organization: I.A.E.S.R., Melbourne University Lines: 40 G'day, I'm hoping that a reader of this note will have successfully installed the FLOPPY (the CERN Coding Convention Checker) on a VAX. I am running into a linking problem. The linker cannot resolve these 3 symbols : UMLOG (a subroutine) LENOCC (a function ?) OR (a function ?) I would appreciate any help here (even RTFM's (which I have tried) through to "Listen Lou, this is trivial :-)"). I think it wouldn't be too hard to cobble up a replacement routine for LENOCC (it seems to be used in the way the FORTRAN-77 function LEN would be) but the other two I'm less confident about. As is the usual way of things I really want a code "cleaner" tool for this particularly poorly written FORTRAN I have to debug at work. {No we didn't write it. Ugh, shudder! :-)} Our constraint is cash. :-( Are there any FTP sites for similar tools? I'm sorry but I only recently have started looking for such sites and I think I've missed recent discussions on this topic. Has CERN released FLOW? It's described as a Structure Analyser. Is the NAG Toolpack software redistributable? What is the cost? I apologise for exhausting this slice of bandwidth with my questions. Try to e-mail replies if you can. If I get any requests for a summary I'll do what I can (if I get responses) depending on work load here. yours truly, Lou Cavallo.
