Well, we're now onto version 2.1 in MIPS parlance (i.e. that is what is reported by 'f77 -V prog.f'). This is NOT the same number as in the ULTRIX documentation. This now seems to be a working (and fast) version of the f77 compiler. So far it has worked very well with all our codes.
