I tried the following and found a bug: 'tell(error).' : redirection of output ' + F' : file menu 'Consult' : Consult box (blind) file_name : the file to be consulted (blind) result: everything, including the input (not echoed on the screen, so you have to type and use the menus blind) and contents of the (Consult-)window is put in the error-file; except the error messages I wanted to be in that file.
