Uh, I came across that problem earlier and it wasn't due to elm, rather it was due to the default setting of the "kill" character. What are you using, sys V? I thought so.... put a line in your .profile to say: stty kill '^u' and that should do it. (use carret-u not ctrl-u) If that doesn't work, mail me a reply and let me know how you are invoking elm (using a user agent or from a shell prompt).
