We are going to share one spool directory among many clients. But for doing this, we have to ensure, that mh also respects the locking by /usr/spool/mail/.lock. Elm, Emacs (rmail), mail, xmail, mailtool do so, inc apparently does not only ignore the lock, but it looks so as if inc REMOVES the lock.
