While OSUs commmitment to unix support is clearly more consistant than UofMs, Peter is correct in noting a single point of failure is not a good way of doing things. A2 has been thru several cycles of feast and famine, and those cycles stopped only when we went to multiple sources of support. Karls setups may be the best in the world, but one day OSU may officially decide not to do that any more, and turn the key. Anti-social? Sure. Not likely in the near future? Your guess is better than mine. Disasterous when it happens? Damn betcha.
