I am preparing to write a paper on the representation of complex object
structure in a relational DBMS.  I plan to describe the construction of the
object using a semantic network, and then represent the semantic network, in
addition to normal tables, in the DBMS.  

I am certain that research has been performed in this area and I am looking for
additional references.  Please, respond with any references or comments via
e-mail.

NOTE:  This paper will deal only with the representation of the object
structure
and in no way attemps to define query language requirements, etc.  This will
come later.
