It spins at 5400 RPM and I saw sustained transfers of 2.8 MB/sec on my RS/6000 Model 530. Seek time is 12 ms. It holds 1.5 GB before formatting. I also tested it on an RTPC running the good operating system (4.3 BSD). It did quite well there, but maxed out at about 1.7 MB/Second due to the AT bus, I guess. The only problems are that it is slightly bigger than the standard 5 1/4 inch form factor and it requires extra power and cooling.
