Only the binaries can be distributed. Pragmatically, TOPS couldn't prove any sort of commercial loss if I posted the sources, since they obviously have no proprietary interest in them, but I don't like to play fast and loose with intellectual property. In my opinion, only a source code release will allow TOPS Terminal and TOPS TCP/IP to compete effectively with the other freeware TCP/IP products. Which is not to put down my programs -- I'm using them right now, and have been using them for years now -- but marketing is based on other factors than simple product quality.
