Hold the reformatting of your hard disk for a moment. I believe the problem is more likely to be with the packet driver interface for pcnfs. At least I and a number of others have discovered that this fall apart when you try to run PCNFS on top of V6 PACKET DRIVERS. My experience was with the wd8003e v6.5 packet driver. Have reverted to an earlier release of the packet drivers when using PCNFS things are know working very nicely. The problem has been reported. But as with anything thats free. It's quite hard to hassle someone into investigating the problem. Perhaps you might like to have a go. >Thanks.
