Now I remember. Apparently you misunderstood. Commodore is currently reporting very low profits, only around $5 million versus about $45 million for the prior year. Commodore's sales are also down by almost $80 million/yr. However much of the reason for lower profits is that Commodore is investing far more money in development and marketing than they used to. This person may have said how strong Commodore is, but don't forget that he is an EMPLOYEE. I'm not saying that Commodore is on its way to bankruptcy. According to its numbers it has a good asset/liability ratio. However it may not be a very profitable company for 1-3 years. If by that time profitability isn't getting better it may never improve. Of course, we here (except Marc Barrett 8) envision a rosy future for the Amiga. >Sean >//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// > UUCP: ...!crash!pnet01!pro-party!seanc | > ARPA: !crash!pnet01!pro-party!seanc@nosc.mil | " Fanatics have their > INET: seanc@pro-party.cts.com | dreams, wherewith they > | weave a paradise for > RealWorld: Sean Cunningham | a sect.
