Two weeks ago I was using a old leading edge (ibm-pc clone) with CrossTalk and a 2400 baud modem. Now I'm on an A3000 :-) running DNET with a 2400 baud modem (AMT Star)... and my response time is very noticeably slower. In both cases I'm dialing up to the same Sun4. Maybe the reason is obvious? (Remember I'm new to the multi-tasking amiga environment). I've read through most of the documentation and had basically no trouble getting DNET up and running. Will I get better response time with commercial comm software (which?) or can I do something to DNET? thanks for any pointers! tiffany frazier -- tiff@cs.ucla.edu !{rutgers, ucbvax}!ucla-cs!tiff
