The estimated $400 million deal is Commodore's first victory in the federal marketplace. CBM, which established an office in Washington, D.C., just last Sept., will offer 68030-based Amiga workstations under the agreement." I don't know much about how government contracts work, does this mean the entire $400 million will be used to buy Amigas? That would come out to about 100,000 amigas running business applications in gov. offices. I would think this would really spur the development of some mainstream business programs for the Amiga. Anyone have any comments about the ramifications to the Amiga user community as a result of this and future contracts? ========================================= Pete Babic - pab@po.cwru.edu Integrated Library Systems Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, Ohio ----------------------------------------- Standard Disclaimers apply Cleveland - Home of the Rock Hall of Fame Go Tribe! =========================================
