I recall not being able to format drives over 64MB with the Apple system software. I ended up using the Chinook SCSI utilities (which don't work with the DMA SCSI card, alas) to partition my ST296N. (16MB,32MB,32MB) There are some SCSI utilities posted in various information services such as America Onlie and Genie that might do the trick. Once you get the drive formatted and partitioned, it definitely does work with GS/OS 5.0.[23] and the DMA SCSI card. ProDOS-8 will only see the first two partitions, however. I hope you used the Installer to install the GS/OS drivers etc. Simply copying them doesn't seem to work.
