I've just looked at some of the documentation on Icon. It looks like a comprehensive language and programming environment. I've used SNOBOL in the past and found it very interesting. In particular, the documentation states that there is a programming library that contains an object oriented system. Glancing at the documents, it seemed that Icon's syntax is much more like C than SNOBOL. If someone has some simple (but not completely trivial) code samples of Icon to share, I would very much like to see it before investing time figuring out what Icon is like.
