I have heard that Rainbows are 100% compatable if your software only uses BIOS calls and doesn't short-cut its way to the screen's bitmap, etc... Is this true? And if it is can I write programs on my Rainbow using BIOS calls as if it were an IBM PC and expect them to work? What's the name of the technical refrence manual for the Rainbow that describes its internals in this much detail? I have heard that the Rainbow uses the Z80 chip to handle disk functions and the 8088 for screen updates but i would hope that the BIOS handles these details. So are Rainbows compatable at ROM BIOS level with IBMs? Thanks for any answers, Todd M. Miller Brandeis University Waltham, MA 02154 tmiller@brandeis.bitnet, tmiller@binah.cc.brandeis.edu
