I used the Shareware product Instant Recall, liked it, and bought the Commercial version. But the commercial IR is not related to the Shareware version. The Shareware product became Memory Mate. Also, I found that the new IR conflicted with much of the software I use, including DR-DOS and Sidekick. The only substantial advantage of Instant Recall over Memory Mate is that IR occupies only 32K of DOS RAM, while MM needs about 90K. But MM can load into high RAM, whereas IR can't. I should say that Chronologic did tell me up front that their Instant was not descended from the Shareware product. ---------------------------------------------------------- Gordon S.
