I guess this is because Gateway2000 has been around for a few years and EPS was started in the past year by a former employee of GW. Most GW owners were *very* pleased with the quality and support provided. One nit was that the DOS 4.01 that was ordered from GW was a PHOENIX slim verion wrt documentation. The philosophy behing EPS was to sell a box in direct competition with GW, using better components. E.g. Orchid Pro II 1024x768x256 in 1 Mb (EPS) vs ATI Wonder 1024x768x16 512k (GW), SONY 1304 non- interlaced (EPS) vs NEC 3D (GW), 160 Mb Micropolis HD (EPS) vs 150 Mb ? (GW) Neither tower configuration is FCC B approved Prices on both machines are dropping to the extent where you have to call to get the price du jour summary stats: of 12 responses 10 happy GW2000 2 happy EPS. Hope this info was helpful. Thanks to those that responded. -Frank
