A friend of mine has a Columbia PC (about 6 years old) and he'd like to
put a hard disk in it. He's been told that it can't be done, can anyone 
confirm this? If so why? 

While I still think the best option is to buy something new (probably cheaper
in the long run), I'd like to find out whether the Columbia will take a
hard drive or not.

Any information would be appreciated.
