I seem to recall that the Panasonic 455 MIGHT be a SS/QD drive. DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS! F'rinstance. I have the manual for the Shugart 455/465 drives, and the 455 is a DS/DD, and the 465 is a DS/QD. (455 is DD-40tpi, 465 is DD-80tpi.) I believe the Panasonic version of the Shugart 465, was marketed as their model 475. Confusing, eh?
