Message-ID: <112652@linus.mitre.org> Date: 6 Jul 90 21:46:17 GMT Sender: usenet@linus.mitre.org Reply-To: mitchell@community-chest.mitre.org (George Mitchell) Organization: MITRE-McLean Software Engineering Laboratory Lines: 12 A little over a year ago I recall seeing considerable publicity regarding new laptop/docking station combinations. In scanning the current crop of advertisements and product reviews I do not see any mention of docking stations. What has happened to the concept? I would think that a design relying on the ready availability of the docking station resources would permit creating a very powerful laptop with extended battery life. Likewise, the docking station would transform the laptop into a desktop utilizing the processor and RAM. -- George Mitchell, MITRE, MS Z676, 7525 Colshire Dr, McLean, VA 22102 email: gmitchel@mitre.org [alt: mitchell@community-chest.mitre.org] vmail: 703/883-6029 FAX: 703/883-5519
