We have 5 IW-LQ under public service in our laboratory, in service like draft quality listing printers for the students. We have many problems with the paper feed system (we try all ways) and with theprinter speed in draft quality (MPW does not support LQ draft quality printing, only IWII draft. We write our own printer driver for MPW). Another consideration is the price. IW-LQ is an expensive printer to make the listings. We are testing now a Shiva NetSerial and an IBM compatible printer. This set is cheaper and faster than an IW-LQ. G. Ulloa EPFL-LIT (ulloa@litsun.epfl.ch)
