Apple had just stopped giving credit for the old supplies. The technician I talked to said he'd give me the credit anyway _if I bought one year of AppleCare_($12/mo = $144). I gave him my "hard life" story and he charged me $15 for labor. I don't remember the exact cost, but mine was at least $220. My Mac+ was working fine, but in the past 5 weeks my screen developed the jitters again, the power supply will often times "whine" (real high- pitched sound), and my screen is twisted. Now that I have AppleCare, I'll get the supply and the screen replaced for "free". Brent Burton n138ct@tamuts.tamu.edu
