It is true that much of the stuff in 'Mac the Knife' is inaccurate. Some of it is indeed true though. They are, after all, just rumours. And some of the stuff which sounds wierd might be prototypes that are killed off early in the process. BTW, you might want to get a better understanding of the way the Mac works yourself: as far as I know, with system 7.0 in 32-bit mode, you will be able to address up to 1 gigabyte of virtual memory on any Mac with '32 bit clean' ROM's (for now that's the IIci and IIfx, I believe).
