I distributed it to a number of people and organisations, and have since made some modifications and enhancements. Since the response to the first version was was promising, I figured I'd mention it here. The program runs on an XT / AT with Hercules graphics support, and can handle configurations of up to 16 Transputers. Basically, the user constructs a configuration using the arrow keys to select the Transputers and links. The program then generates the program placement for the network specifications - i.e. the declaration and placement of the links for that configuration. We've made extensive use of the application, and have found that it saves a lot of time and eliminates careless error in non-trivial network specification. This venture is not intended for commercial gain (any donations will be forwarded to Rhino Survival Zimbabwe). It you are interested in getting hold of it, send me a diskette, and I'll gladly send you a copy. It will cost me around R20 to post the software and documentation, so please en- close the equivalent - about $8 or 5 pounds (or a carton of Marlboros - sanctions are beginning to bite). --Craig ################################################ Craig Faasen Address : Dept. of Computer Science University of the Witwatersrand P.O.
