I'm trying to typeset my homework in LaTeX,
and I'm encountering a challenge with the \oe 
character.  It shows up on paper as a diamond
(maybe called "lozenge" in postscript).

I've tried dvi2ps and dvips to print to an
Apple Laserwriter ][NTX.  I've even tried
a little (blind) hacking of the ps files,
to no avail.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
