If anyone has < any idea, I would be very glad to get some help. I had the same difficulty - I had been messing with the kernal tunable parameters, but what I had was sane. When in desparation I used kconfig and set the tuning back to one of the defaults for memory size, the problem went away, and hasn't returned (yet).
