Rumour has it that you can go to a larger number (16). Has anyone managed to get a couple more screens? There is some direct evidence of this. One method for switching to screens 11 and 12 is . For and you get screens 11 and 12. For to you get a beep from the video driver complaining that you are switching to an undefined screen. For to the key is ignored and you get screen 7 to 12 as appropriate. So this would indicate that it may be possible to define up to 16 screens in total.
