A colleague of mine has a machine that has stopped printing requests sent
through the spooler.  Everything in /usr/spool/lp is owned by lp and is r/w,
and the device(s) are writable as well but each print request generates a
mail message saying simply "Error Printing request printer-123".

Has anyone seen this problem before?  (Yes, he HAS mucked around with things
a little).

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
