When I open a DOS window using the commandw.pif things seem to be O.K. but I can't seem to run any program tyhat recognizes drives, ie. search programs to find that long lost file, even reading drive a: doesn't seem to be possible. I don't think I changed anything in the pif except the stuff about switching etc at the bottom of the pif definition from "text" to "graphics". Is this a no no? Even Adobe Illustrator can't read drive a:. Is something wrong with the drive mechanism?
