I hate it when shows that deal with hearing impairment are only in sign because not all HI folks can sign. I recall two years ago when there was a local special dealing with human interest here in Lawton was shown in sign only and I protested afterwards and they assured me that next time it would be captioned. This show was not advertised, so many folks missed it. At the SHHH Convention last week, I chatted briefly with a Larry Goldberg who is in charge of The Caption Center in Boston, MA. He was most helpful and informed me to keep at our local station about captioning the local news. He also gave me LOADS of information as well as stated he would contact them if needed It takes us to convince those who take things for granted what needs to be done. If you need contact information on this subject matter, let me know and I'll send you some phone numbers and addresses. Also, perhaps you and Debbie will consider attending the SHHH convention in Denver next year. Several of us who attended this year are going to try to give a workshop dealing with telecommunication using CPUs. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!385!14.0!Ann.Stalnaker Internet: Ann.Stalnaker@p0.f14.n385.z1.fidonet.org
