I received around 8 glowing replies highly recommending db_VISTA. Since then my colleagues and myself evaluated db_VISTA, MDBS IV, Ingres, and Informix under DOS. We have decided to use db_VISTA to develop a major database application. We will also be porting the application to SunOS UNIX. So far db_VISTA seems like an excellent database manager with a reasonable SQL interface. It is highly flexible to work with because it is a C library, much better than an imbedded language. Hopefully I'll have a lot more positive comments in a few months. Eric -- [] Eric B.
