H. Moody & Associates, 1810 Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030. Lj2desk will convert LJ fonts for use on the DeskJet and DeskJet+ (I have two myself). Fontview allows you to view the fonts. Due to the way the DeskJet prints, it's no possible to use all fonts; those that are too large (high) are noted by the conversion program. I've been using lj2desk for some time now, and haven't found any problems with it. You might also explore HP's Type Director 2.0; the promotional package includes a serif (CompuGraphic's Times) and a sans serif (CompuGraphics Univers 1) in scalable form. These can be used to generate DeskJet fonts in any reasonable point size (as well as generating fonts for other HP lasers, Windows, etc. I have seen no public domain program that converts LJ fonts for use on the deskjet, but it wouldn't be too difficult to write one, if you want to invest the time. Frankly, the small cost of lj2desk (I don't remember what it was, exactly, but it was reasonable) and its proven correctness made it my choice!
