George Kyriazis sent me a shar file which contained a number of files of source code for modelling ocean waves based on "The Science of Fractal Images". His code in tracesea.c is using a library of ray-tracing routines. What I want to do is produce a file of polygon or point primitives, which I can feed into a ray-tracer and eventually display on a sun workstation. Has somebody else done this? Would you help me? Also in the file aview.c, he uses a function packi (). I can't find it, nor figure out how what it does.
