Many have sent mail to me asking about the status of the
proposed news group comp.lang.objective-c.

Yesterday I sent the call for votes to the moderator of
news.announce.newgroups, and this morning I got a reply
that the call for votes will be posted sometime later
this week.  Instructions on how to cast your vote will
be in the call for votes (Note: this posting is NOT a call
for votes).

If not seen the call for votes by July 27, or
or you cannot get your vote through to me, please
call me at the phone number listed below (I have an answering
machine) and I'll try to figure out how to get your vote to
me by e-mail.  I CANNOT take votes over the phone or by any other
means other than e-mail per the instructions that will be in
the call for votes.  I have asked that the call for votes be cross-
posted in a number of news groups for convenience, but remember
that the official call for votes will be in news.announce.newgroups, so
start looking there for the next few days.
