 It depends a lot on the penalty for a JMP instruction.  On some of the 
 simpler members of the family that have an instruction queue rather 
 than a cache, it's horrendous, since you throw away the queue on a JMP 
 and need to start re-filling it.  In addition, the JMP instruction 
 itself is a lengthy one on the smaller micros.
